Johnson Hospitality owns and operates hotels in Danville, in California's San Ramon Valley. The brief asked for old-school professionalism: trustworthy and established, and deliberately not a tech-style logo.
Rather than the obvious "JH" monogram, we built the mark from the business itself: a hotel drawn in three-dimensional perspective, with the J and H set into its faces. What follows is the full design exploration: an alternate valley concept, serif and sans-serif type studies, and the color work that landed on a strong, confident navy.
